I've tried Windows Live movie maker...it's crashy and useless. However, the Microsoft Movie Maker that we used in middle school was the best...haven't been able to use that since Windows XP though.

Bad news, windows movie maker also crashes when I try to import multiple large .avi files. Let me know when they make a decent video editor and I'll join the movie contest.

if the .avi file is something over 1GB then you're going to have issues, you should immediately cut the video and save it as 2 separate avi files.
