  • chachi_wan

commies routers reek of olive oil.......

  • K9shibby

Yup, you get my number from evil?

  • icomrade

Actually i have a spare sb6190 I'd sell you for $50 shipped. if you want it let me know

  • K9shibby

    Cool shroud montage of blackout.

  • K9shibby

I was told I cant spend any money until my houses closes on the 28th so ill have to wait until after to buy the stuff :(

  • icomrade

I mean that TP-Link one would be okay, but the RT-AC1900P/RT-AC68P is much better and for marginally more it's an obvious choice if youre okay with used (don't forget to buy 1 meter cat 6 Ethernet cable to connect the modem and router)

  • icomrade

then I would probably go with this router: https://www.ebay.com/itm/263179445705

  • icomrade

Buy the modem here, and use the promo code FALLSAVINGS, which brings the total to $80: https://express.google.com/u/0…68870768799267040_8175035

  • K9shibby

    How about this guy https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d…dcmw_300189_t2_B079JD7F7G

  • icomrade

Also dont buy a used surfboard modem, there's a chance it can be blacklisted and will not work

  • icomrade

Yeah I'm sure it would be fine, but range and client capacity won't be as great as a standalone one. The other benefit is that with a standalone setup you can upgrade either component as needed. Look at used routers or tp-link is an ok budget brand

  • K9shibby

Would the best combo device be fine for me? Or i can get the arris surfboard and a router. So there a decent $50 wireleas router? Looking to keep it under da $150

  • icomrade

However, I'd recommend going with separate modem and router if you can spend more (due to future upgrades). go with an Arris SB6190 (unless you want the newer SB8200 with Docsis 3.1) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016PE1X5K/ and a wireless AC router (I have an Asus RT-AC88u, but it's pricey)

  • icomrade

Buy an Arris product, don't go with Netgear. if you want a reasonably price D3.0 Modem and router combo, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N4PKD52/ or if you want the best combo device: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076HJ5CVW/

  • K9shibby

    Ah thanks lol

  • eraser1

    not "doxes".

  • eraser1

Don't know much about the router market, but it's "DOCSIS", not

  • K9shibby

Hey you guys, can someone point me in the right direction for a router that will work for specrum? The guy on the phone said it needs to be doxes 3.0 compatible?

  • icomrade

We should, BFBC2 is best BF
