I was listing off the official rules, a lot of people dont know them
Thank you for your input [IMP]Tioga, we don't know the "official rules".
Yes good idea, I´ll be there, too!
Cool i'm there .... start soon though
Scrims every Saturday at 5PM EST. Be there or be square.
In CoP, we used the standard schoolyard pick. This made for fair teams, but it can be awkward to be the last one picked, as was often the case for poor HolyDiver (or for me in high school basketball ).
im game, so long as i can remember to sign on.
sounds like a blast, we just need a definite time agreed upon. beware of the last picked....for the onslaught of vengeance will only be eclipsed by the brutality in which it is delivered.
Scrims every Saturday at 5PM EST.
Alright then sounds like something to start with.
5pm EST means currently 11pm middle Europe time (=23:00).
I will try to be there next Saturday and set up the practice server
I can probably be there at 4 pm CST, but daylight savings begins March 14th where I live, so I'm sure that will screw us up once we've established a time.
ill most likely go, just xfire me i wont remember.
Yea xfire me too. Hey is 4pm CST is like 3pm EST?
5 EST. If you're a member of the OSF group on xfire, you should receive a reminder before the event starts (assuming I can figure out how to do set this up).
thx for joining today guys!
I noticed that when a team has one more player the proto-energy-level objective might be a bit unfair. Or we could go for a smaller map... I´ll think about it

Or maybe at the half time point one player switches so both teams have the one extra player advantage for an equal time, just a thought.
Yes, I was going to suggest Arborist's idea. We can just move one player to the other team about 30 minutes in.
I think both teams did well considering this was our first some-what competitive scrim in a very long time. Attendance was quite good even with the St. Patty's Day parties going on. I would like to do this every week.
If you are an xfire member, be sure to log in, as I will try to keep sending the "scrim reminder" every week. Even "wolfenzi", the asshole kid that we briefly banned for suspicion of hacks noticed that we had a 10 player scrim happening in the practice server and suggested that we join ESL. Here's the transcript
[17:21] wolfenzi: hi, i saw 10+ OSF on some training, why dont u guys register on esl ? Theres a 3vs3 PS/TIA cup which registration ends tommorow, you could register your team there (maybe even 2 squads) and play with other clans.
[17:21] =OSF=NecessaryEvil: we dont like ESL
[17:22] wolfenzi: why ? ...
[17:22] =OSF=NecessaryEvil: too many kids
[17:23] wolfenzi: ye sure thats a good reason ...
Anyways, I'd just like to say that I was impressed at how good everyone is getting. We get plenty of "ground pounding" practice in the server each day, but I think we can all agree that our teamwork and communication was lacking. I hope to improve upon this next week. For example, when the team that I was on began to come back from being behind in energy, I noticed that the opposing team didn't push hard enough to recapture the E3 bunker for proto dominance. However, the opposing team did a better job of maintaining energy sites. Capturing energy sites was always a problem for me and my team.
Here's a screenshot I took of our teams before the round started so that we can keep track who we played with:
"to many kids" haha
I am fine with being part of the OSL or OSFESL or OSFL (old school fighters esl)
When recapturing the E3 bunker I was unsure where my team needs me most: hinder the opposing teams gain of energy (capturing sites) or supporting at proto area. The latter would have been better b/c I ran into Pointguard all the time. Anyway, I liked that tactical component
sounds like a good time was had, i was drunk as a skunk at the time, hopefully ill get in next week.
Wait.. what server was that on?
