Would a fresh map be a nice change? 0

    1. Yes, I like Shore (0) 0%
    2. Yes, but not Shore (0) 0%
    3. Undecided (0) 0%
    4. No (0) 0%
    5. Fuck no, Mesa is FTW (0) 0%

This topic came up multiple times in teamspeak and a lot of people seemed to agree that Mesa was getting a little generic and they wouldn't mind a map change for a little while. Obviously staying on the same game mode, most seemed partial to the idea of going to Shore for a week or so. Obviously I have no authority to preform this change nor do I think it should be changed with out a vote. So I am posting this to see others inputs and also as a suggestion.

weve had this discussion a few times already, may be better served by bringing back up an old topic.

i for one, am down for change, perhaps a rotation of other PS maps of similiar size.

Yeah, I prefer Tarmac over Shore. Before I found CoP my favorite server was a Mesa-Tarmac one.

According to the main page poll, there is a majority of us that would like to play maps other than Mesa. I've always voted "yes" in previous polls and topics regarding playing other maps.

In fact, because there was a majority that wanted to play non-Mesa maps, I went ahead and edited the level rotation (which is listed in some topic somewhere). However, when nuke blockers are spawned, the round basically only ends when the server crashes or when a vote is successfully initiated. This is why I've stopped spawning nuke blockers.

Remember: anyone can initiate a vote by typing "!vote map MapName". The vote will pass only if more than half of the players vote. If no majority occurs, the vote fails.

Because not everyone reads the forums, I worry that some would be surprised to find that the map after Mesa is Shore. Perhaps a main page news article would work better to inform everyone.

Well I vote we stop using the blocker and maybe make the TAC 1500 instead? Just an idea. Since most people don't pay attention to the chat, no one votes.

Slacker has a point... Since the stupid glitchy vote system needs EVERYONE to say yes, we should make TACs more possible.

Not everyone must vote for the it to pass, but the majority of the players must vote yes for the map to change.

No I understand my point wasn't that they have to vote it was just that they don't pay enough attention to A. See it, or B. They don't care enough. Pointguard Tbag and I were having this exact problem today. We couldn't get anyone to vote. Wither or not they wanted the change to happen nobody seemed to see it in chat. It was half amusing when you call someone out and ask them if they are voting then they go "Oh, we can vote? !yes".

I've witnessed many times where the vast majority of the server said yes, no one said no, and yet it still said the vote failed. I've only seen it work when every last member said yes and no one said no.

it works cad, perhaps your counting is bad.

just because every vote you see is yes, doesnt mean half the people playing voted. if they do, map change.

Yes, you are delusional, Cad. The voting system works just as it should.
