New hardware for dedicated server

Guys,

Here is a proposal for making our server better (=less lag + more people). Currently our amsterdam Mesa server is a virtual machine running on a big ass Dell poweredge 2950 octocore server. The VM however uses only a bit of its power.

We are moving our HW to a new location (Equinix). This will impove our access to the internet backbone.

The proposal is to buy dedicated HW like this offer here: dell poweredge EURO 250. This machine should be fast enough for 40+ people. In addition to the initial cost we need to pay for the current = EURO 50 per month.

Luckily, the owner of the current HW is willing to loan us the server to try things out. He has a spare rack server Dell PowerEdge SC1425 Intel Xeon 3300.

I'd like to go this route, but i cannot pay for everything, so who is willing to monthy donate?

i say we test it out and see.

regrettably ALL, and then some, of my money is tied up in starting a law firm atm. but i think in about 3 months i should have some spending money, and ill certainly start to chip in.

Theres a problem!!!!!!

I dont have a paypal and dont have a credit card. And the bank wont give me 1 cause im still a student.
Is there another method of donating, i have a laser card but its no use on paypal

doesnt paypal charge a service fee or something? would it be easier to just cut a check and mail it, or is the fee some nominal amount. just wondering. i think i have a paypal account from years ago, ill have to look into that.
