Hey at least I don't have Arson syndrome. It looks like he got a monkey to plug this shit in for him (oh wait, Arson is a monkey? :) )

jk, I'd much rather have Arsey's core i5 and gtx 275 even with the cables looking like a nightmare.

If I had Arson's budget, I'd hold off on a modular PSU and instead spend it on a core i5 and gtx 275 just like he did (but I don't think I'd go with a micro ATX mobo).

    Motherboard : GA-M57SLI-S4
    Processor : AMD Brisbane X2 2.1Ghz OCed@ 3.150Ghz and sometimes 3.003Ghz
    Memory : OCZ
Video : EVGA Geforce 9800 GT
    PSU : Antec 750W
    Cooling :
Water Block : Swiftech Apogee GT
Water Pump : VIA Aqua 1800 pump
    Radiator : 120.3 Black Ice
    Temps : 24*C/41*C
Case : Completely custom built from an old Emachines? But yeah, I did the whole case mod thing, like serious case modding. Here's the case mod build thread that I never fully updated:
    http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/showthread.php?t=320985

It looks something like this, except the front isn't finished in the pic, and some other little things:
    blackwater_top_flash.jpg

Here's a pic of a more closely finished case build:
    http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=141513&d=1259452712

Basically, a friend gave me this case:
    old_gateway_case_-_beggining_of_Bla.jpg

I worked it over completely, including welding in some places:
    back.jpg

360mm radiator and a junk PSU test fitment:
    painted_radiator_mounted.jpg

Steel cases are a lot more difficult to modify than aluminum:
    exterior.jpg

I painted it in a very specific manor, and eventually got 10 clear coats worked down with 1000 grit sandpaper every 2 coats:
    Stage2.jpg
    Stage3_2.jpg

I even soldered my own LED's, because LED's are 10x's better than CCFL's:
    LED_chain.jpg

I had all this hardware running in a different box at one time. Water cooled with a different radiator, but it's way nicer now.

I bet that Emachines case never knew what it had coming. That's really cool, how long did it take?

I slowly worked on it for months. It was like a hobby thing I spent a couple hours a week on. Right until the end when my old PSU died, then I rushed it into active duty with the new Antec PSU.

For some reason this image doesn't show up in my post:

you should make a video if you make another or at least a tut because that looks great.
lol it would have been easier to make a mold and make the case out of carbon fiber but 1000x more expensive

I'd rather just wrap a case in carbon fiber some day. I've worked with fiber glass so it can't be too difficult.

Probably upgradng soon to a Phenom II X3 720

I think pointguard has that. Unless you could get it super cheap, how much of an upgrade do you suspect amd's tri-core will be?

Why would anyone water cool a core 2 duo E6700 @ 3.6 GHz?

And how do you still find it enjoyable to pass off pics of a rig that you don't have?

I just managed to get the professional edition of 3DMark Vantage. Anyone who would like to help me with learning it? I just ran a benchmark and I am a bit confused.

PS: Don't ask me how...
