Now we just need a name for it. Maybe something with OSF in it? or is what all the arrogant clans do?

Oh and I do get some minor graphical anomalies. One example is the floor of the rear corridor of the proto disappears when viewing it at some angles.

The intro picture is sorta screwy.

And don't forget to add the truck at the E4 proto bunker

I say we run the map for awhile on the practice server, and, if the feedback is positive enough, I'd vote to run it on our main server (at least added to the rotation).

Seriously good job on getting auto downloader working.

I'll add a poll to the original post to help us decide on a name and finish up the map sometime this week, until then we need players and a good game going on the map to see what works and what doesn't. As always suggestions and constructive criticism is most welcome.

Seriously, Mesa should definitely be in the name. Possibly OSF as well. Or, we can include something about the infantry-friendly proto fighting area

the containers by e3 bunker r kinda annoying to run through but provide awesome cover if ur trying to run to regain health. i love how u opened the tunnel but i dont see why the tunnel to go to d4 is closed off i literally crashed into it trying to go that way lol. the proto area seems a little crowded with oddly placed shit but provide good cover so many some repositioning of the stuff like the barrels and such all around. otherwise it looks and works well for fighting but i think it could use some improvements =) but other than that epic job =D

The cover is fine in my opinion, and there's always room for more.

The idea behind closing off the tunnel to D4 is to keep the fight in proto; and it worked very well after today's 1st-ever real battle.

Very fun. Infantry-friendly, as expected. I'd definitely vote to add it as the main map after today's initial testing.

I'm with you evil for adding the map to the main server. I loved the bar with chopper on the top of the mountain, even if I had to buy a super jump to get up there. I didn't understand instead why in C7 you put 2 bunkers. it's a bit odd. on top of the crane in proto there's a gauss frozen rifle, which nobody will ever stay alive enough to use I hope, and some fire scar ammo that don't work. that's another odd thing.

I loved the birds flying around. nice touch.

for the name it should have the word OSF to make things simple. !=OSF=Mesa 24/7 UPDATED!

snowy, i managed to get that guass three times the other day. but i imagine in a large game especially, and over time, people will keep there eyes out on that tower.

yes that's the classic beautiful spot where all noobs gather to and get systematically fragged having no room to hide from bullets. gunfights on the mountain Hawaiian bar should be spiffy instead. There is even a table that can be moved and used as cover. VERY cool.

Rip, I quite like "Old School Mesa", but I was trying to think of a name that started with Mesa in it so that if a player was to categorize the server list, he'd see V's modified Mesa in the same category as all the other regular Mesa's....maybe that's totally unnecessary though.

And Snow, if I may speak for V, the C7 area is not meant as a place for any action to take place, but rather as a spot where we can spawn things easily for practicing stuff.

Anyways, I definitely think Old School Mesa should be on the list of potential names (even though this is technically new school mesa)
