Also i've noticed that after overclocking, my chipset gets quite hot.. Running at 3.5GHz now, with all the temps beeing around 40, except for my chipset witch is 55C.
Any chance i could lower that?
The, ''i broke my hand, so ill upgrade my machine'' threat.

some mainboards have a chipset cooler, you can always build one yourself.....type in google chipset cooler and you'll find lots off examples....
or dont overclock so high...no need for that anyway...
-
Seems there's one on my old board.. Not sure if i want to take it off though.. i'll buy one when i order my PSU.
Thanks;)

Any chance i could lower that?A good start is to add another case fan. When overclocking, you want to maximum number of case fans you can get in the case. It also helps to partially cut out the fan holes. Leaving at least some support across the fan holes helps though. And never cut a case with the mobo and stuff still installed.
Most mobo's have a chipset cooler. Rarely some don't. However, most mobo's do not have a fan on the chipset cooler. So figure out what you have and what you can do about that. Until then, lower the clock speed on the FSB.
-
Hm, those chipset coolers do have a fan on top of them, i believe...
Edit: Ok, this is intresting.. i printed some bios options off overclockers.com from someone with the same chip and mobo..
Running it on 3.8GHz now, with temps lower then i had on the default settings.
(Even the chipset) -

I'm not sure what your intention was saying that?

Also, i think i figured out what caused to crash crysis. I runned some benchmarks and with furmark it kep crashing, untill i shutted off crossfire.
So, i think one off my cards broke? -
If your running ATI cards, open up CCC, click on graphics, 3D, then go to the AI tab, check the box to disable the Catalyst A.I.
Open up crysis and that should fix it. -
Hmm, it did.. But what did it change?
Anyway, bought a corsair HX850 (modulair) along with a XFX Radeon HD 5870 GPU.
Kind off sick off the crossfire/sli thing..Also i bought 4 new fans, with this baby:

Mike, let us know how big of an improvement the 5870 is over your old video cards.
-
Will do!
-
I predict that it wont be much of an improvement
I mean your going from crossfire to a single card. -
Fair enough pointguard, but i can always add a second one;)
And it supports dx11, so i'm set for a while...here's the link btw http://xfxforce.com/en-gb/products…ies/5870.aspx#2

It cost me less then 50 bucks:PIf it was 50 euros that's 60 bucks US and I wouldn't spend that much for several fans a LCD screen to control fans :O, unless maybe they were able to make me breakfast everyday or something. I would rather use that 60 bucks and go reserve crysis 2 or something.
