    Your rig is sweet point gaurd.

    Wait a minute. Did Beta just compliment a computer with AMD video cards? :eek:

    I have an AMD processor. But only because it is less expensive. If I money was not an issue, I'd have a Core i7 for sure.

    I know you were referring to the ATI video cards. I wouldn't mind having ATI video cards if the quality control and development process was as good as Nvidia. Also, if the microcode was as good as the new Nvidia cards. Of coarse!

    Really??? I can play on the same settings as G and still be within 10 fps of his.
    AMD and ATI are cheaper and perform just the same.
    Oh and btw G paid about $600 more that i did :)

    AMD == processor
    ATI == graphics

    FYI, I went to college for this stuff as a minor, major, and a second major. We have officially entered the computing generation of microcode optimization. That is exactly what both AMD and ATI lack right now.

    Q: Why is a Core i7 (quad core) faster and more powerful than a Phenom II (six core) processor???
    A: Microcode

    And btw the AMD Phenom II 1090T (six core) processor only beat the Core i7 920 (quad core) on one single test in this comparison. There were 11 comparisons total.
    http://www.techreaction.net/2010/05/06/amd…-thuban-review/

    The AMD 1090T is the flagship AMD processor
    The Intel Core i7 920 is NOT the flagship Intel processor. Right now the Intel flagship is the Core i7 980X, which is expensive. However, the following Core i7 processors are all better than the 920: 930, 950, 960, 975, and 980X. So really, take any one of those and they will perform even better than the 920. That says an awful lot about Intel versus AMD.

    Oh snap, look what I've started.

    Fight! Fight!

    (just don't beat AMD up too bad, we need them to keep Nvidia prices down).

    If I had money to build a whole new rig, my current rig would be in a donation center. :lol: It's not like it's been water cooled for 3-4 years or anything (or has it been that long?). It's just, old and ugly, and patched with inexpensive upgrades.

    However, I'd rather have my old rig with Nvidia than a new rig with ATI. 8)

    I'm confused as to how he paid 600 dollars more than you did I thought G only got 1 470 superclocked edition which is priced at 375$, which is probably what you have spend between paying for the crossfire on the mobo and paying for both of the cards. Just curious with the new card did you bump the AA all the way up now?

    Nice, what about resolution and AA? btw, you can use xfire to show FPS if you press scroll lock + X then click the yellow button at the bottom left (make sure Crysis is compatible with xfire in-game in the xfire options).

    That looks good man. How about some tinted plexi or polycarbonate (aka Lexan)?

    Yeah, thats a good idea. I will probably, just need to know where to get it.

    Well, i always had my resolution on the highest: 1920x1080. So the card diddnt change that. AA, erhm.. Alcoholics Anonymous?
    Ok, i'll try that out (fps with xfire)
