V, weren't you saying that Crysis 2 will have no dedicated servers and instead use a game console-type matchmaking system?

there are some cry eng 3 screens
Evil,
It was rumored that it was possible because the community for crysis wars was so small and it would make a smaller community "happier" to not have to find a server. But whether its going to happen either way is pretty much speculation.
One thing i've read is that their will be battles in city type environments. I am very excited to hear that, not that fighting in the woods or the desert isn't fun i just like fighting in a city type environment.
Refinery, steelmill... wat?
i read they are makin another 3 games out of crysis 2, you know t way we had crysis, crysis warhead and crysis wars, they are doin t same again if Crysis 2 sells well.
Be interessting to see how it developes, im definatly gettin new system to run cryengine 3
if its also being developed for xbox, you wont need a new system (unless yours is older than an xbox 360).
i bet you could crank up the juice more on a PC, but it will probably still play well enough on really old PCs (them fighting the backlash of the engine being to kickass)
Yep crysis 2 will be pushed back to december 31. called it

Basically the article says Crysis 2 will have lower system requirements but should offer better graphics and it is slated for a Q3 '10 release.
QuoteDisplay More* Still four nanosuit modes: armor, power, tactical and infiltration.
* New nanosuit mode "tactical" allows collecting of information about enemies, corpses or weapons, you can mark enemies or weapons that appear on your radar from then on, so you get to know patrol routes and remember "where that cool weapon was located".
* "Strength" mode and "speed" mode have been combined into "power" mode.
* "Infiltration" mode is the stealth mode and makes the player move quieter and more cautious.
* Infiltration is a passive mode, you can manually switch on the familiar cloak mode as an active function and only then this mode drains your energy.
* Crytek always wants to make the player aware of which mode he's in.
* Tactical mode: ambient noise is suppressed so you can overhear even the most distant conversations.
* Armor mode: you hear the hardening of nanosuit's skin, moving sounds become much heavier and the hitting noise of bullets is different.
* Power mode: player uses his fists instead of the weapon's butt.
