    Now just so you know, this map is a rough draft, so feel free to give any constructive criticism. Many issues are already known, just an fyi.

  • I'm fine with no air and no tanks, but wouldn't mind seeing more cars placed about the map.

    I guess I would like to see more obstacles in general and shit to use as cover, like those concrete barrier things I mentioned.

    And maybe some type of permanent bases equally placed from the proto so there is always action going down there.

    I like that the map hasn't had the shit modded out of it, so maybe my additional bases idea would be too much, as I wouldn't want to compromise the balance between useful stuff and pointless crap that ruins beautiful Mesa, as it's just right, currently :)

    Oh, and since it's a training map, maybe add the small proto somewhere so we can practice fighting in that one, as I personally feel like I lack a lot of experience in fighting within the alternate proto (we can edit the TAC launcher price so as to eliminate the chances of nuke spam).

  • Want to thank Verrater for the hard work on the SCRIM map. And for spending a couple hours going through it and listening to the many suggestions
    for possible improvements.

    Before too many mods (and I agree on Vehicles and Cover and suggested several others) we should play test it a bit more to identify particularly good and bad
    items.

    I love the bottomless pit outside proto personally...... :twisted: but understaind it may not be for everyone.

    ps. I am starting a beer fund collection for V to thank him for the hard work. :idea:

  • Thanks for all the comments everyone and to everyone for helping with suggestions. If more people could join the map it would help quite a bit, as more input is always a good thing, and the more people the more likely people will find bugs. I will work on adding some more cover to the map and definitely more vehicles. In fact I might go start on that right now, even if everyone could give one suggestion that would help.

    You thought the same thing i did about the alternate proto. When i first started making this map i had the alternate proto where e4 is, but took it out as it didn't look right. I'll try and find a place for it. Maybe even make another training area.

    New download link. This version will not work until the server is updates with the new map. but you can download it and take a lock by puting it in the correct directory.
    Then typing con_restricted 0 in the console
    then: sv_gamerules powerstruggle
    then: map scrim


    Build notes:

    added vehicles
    added cover
    fixed hole issue
    replaced us spawn building within proto with an empty building
    added one time vtol (it will not respawn)
    allowed acces to hangar roof
    removed bloackades from side of proto building
    fixed nuke blocker to that you can not notice it outside of a vehicle
    fixed several other minor issues
    modified the opening text and image to add story credit and website info
    and cleaned up the look of the us and nk base

    edit* apparently it is up on the test server, im in it now. i like the sniper house on top of the center hill. you should put one on the other two large hills.

    still should have more cover, and more diverse cover than just the sandbags.

    Added more cover behind hanger
    fixed vehicle respawn issue
    fixed building at e3 dissapearing issue
    added helipad to hilltop bar
    added targets at c7
    fixed sandbag issue
    fixed several smaller bugs
    opened up the rear tunnel a little to hide a spawn truck
