    - Sandybridge Core i7 2600k
    - ASUS Saberthooth Motherboard
    - 8Gb 1600mhz memory
    - Two WD Blue 1TB hard drives in RAID1
    - NZXT Hades case (the crysis case)
    - Antec Truepower New 750 watt PSU
    - Twin Turbo's
    - Lots of ammo

So I built this new rig and it's fast and all. The i7 2600k Sandybridge is worth the money. Other computers just seem too slow now, except my work computer. Everything is instant, and the only game I cannot play constantly on MAXIMUM SETTINGS is Metro2033.

I will post pictures when everything is in the case. The case I bought from Xoxide.com, which ships directly from the NZXT warehouse. It was missing accessories and parts, so I used another case that was laying around.

Also, the triple radiator and water cooling system will not be installed until I get a new water block.

I've got some YouTube videos for my website. Really, shameless, but one video features me smoking a fake cigarette. Some of these are really lame but have a purpose.

    Thumbs Up

It's not necessarily about patriotism to a country or, dare I say, "Homeland". (*snicker*) It is about watching your people get removed from their homes, taken into the street, then shot. It disturbs the emotional perspective because the environment is genuinely 'America', not an icon of. The homes, people, streets, everything looks like 85% of the US. Not just a city.

I am using the same PNY GT220 for work. Basically, MicroCenter did not have a huge selection of decent cards in the pricerange. GT 430's would be a better choice, but ultimately, it was more than necessary.

I do website development, network administration, advertising, tech support, graphic design, video production, and who knows what else. Basically, I am CTO/Admin.

Good question. The Sandybridge socket LGA 1155 does not support triple channel DDR3. The only socket that supports triple channel right now is 1366.

In the future, the socket 1356/2011 will support triple channel, along with Ivybridge processors.

And btw, I found one of the six Mushkin memory modules failed Memtest86. It is always important to run Memtest all the way through before concluding that RAM is any good. This is the type of problem that you may not know about until the warranty period has expired. Just a tip for other PC builders here that may save them trouble in the future.

Also, of the 3 identical systems built, one of the motherboards had a different BIOS setting. For some reason the CPU fan speed was set to max out at 60%, which means potential for overheating under 100% load of 8 virtual cores. Was a bit of a worry at first, but an easy solution. I changed it to max out at 100% when the processor reaches 65*C. (This processor is safe until 75*C, but rated for 95*C).

    Three new builds: Elite_01, Money_02, Specialist_03
    All three builds are identical.

    - Core i7 Sandybridge 3.4Ghz
    - 8Gb Mushkin memory (2x4Gb)
    - ASUS P8P67 motherboard (not the vanilla either)
    - RAID1 WD Blue 1Tb hard drives (RAID1 mirror)
    - Corsair 750 watt power supply
    - Nvidia GT 220 1Gb video card
    - Coolr Master Elite case

They are for my work. Mr CEO, our warehouse manager, and myself. :D I have more of a reason to go to work now too.

Yea, but when you see something in the game that is link to the real world, it is 100x's better than a generic "place". Right, New York, but not everyone has stood in the middle of times square several times in their life. I've gone to Hooters more times than I remember.

When you see something so familiar and localized to the American way of life, then you see it crushed under warfare, you can develop a connection with it.

If you play the single player and understand the story behind this game, you would appreciate the necessity for real places in the game. You have no idea how far this game goes under your skin, and I think the real billboards add to the realism. I'm not trying to sell something here, I'm putting it out here for an honest and 100% review.

This game is so immersive it causes PTSD. I'll be out in public somewhere and here something like "KPA" or "North Korea" and images of this game come to mind in a very deep manor. No game has ever been as immersive as Homefront is. I am almost ashamed to admit it.

In this game, one of the cinematic's mentions "irradiation" of the Mississippi river. That is genius to think of. Disturbing and scary, but it will provide an experience you cannot get from any other game.

When Crysis 1 was released, it was severely underrated. It's sales figures were only at less than 50% of the predicted sales figures and analyst's did not understand why. Then, on Q3 (Quarter3 of the release year) the game suddenly skyrocketed in sales. It reached several times it's projected sales predictions. Crysis 1 was underrated upon release. I'm going to say it now, Homefront is looking very underrated.

I'm addicted. Homefront took a few multiplayer sessions to get used to, but now I'm hooked on it.

They programmed in the perfect anti-camper feature in Homefront. If a player is camping and receives unusual amounts of kill streaks, that players general location is monitored and updated on the screen, so his enemies know his/her position. It's easy to wipe out snipe-tards. If you ever want a game that is anti-sniper anti-camper, it is Homefront. Fricken rules at this.

At first, it seems a little confusing to understand the GUI and "Armory" function, but once you learn it, it is the answer to all our complaints. Earn 'prestige' according to the game session, but you also earn a rank that is permanent.

    It's like Battlefield + Crysis 1 + UT3 = Homefront. I swears it.

You don't spawn with the rocket launcher, you buy it in-game when you need it. But you must earn the BP (prestige) for it. Same goes for vehicles. You must earn them. A lot of weapons and vehicles are locked until you reach a certain level or rank, then they are unlocked for all games, but they still cost BP that you earn per individual game. It's the best system I know of.

Today I took a "personal day" to get some personal matters resolved. Had some time and just couldn't help myself. Crysis 2 multiplayer is actually pretty decent. But, if you want purely blissful gameplay, get Homefront.

So Metro 2034 is coming out in 2012. It'll be bigger than BF3. In any event, get Homefront and you will see it is like no other.

I've been playing the single-player exclusively. The more I play, the more I think Crytec will release a pre-quill to Crysis 2 staring Prophet. The reason they wouldn't release that first is because console gamers wouldn't understand the story line.

I use Norton Internet Security and have no problems.

There are tons of servers. I mean there are like hundreds to sift though on my Crysis 2 multiplayer. Maybe you need to check if it is displaying Local/Internet and also "refresh server list" or something like that in the game.
