lol i helps with airflow
Robo - In order to display these, what you can do is just drag the pic so that it creates its own tab, then copy that url and use the forum's "image code button". I'll do it for you this time

I hope you don't mind me editing your post, but it looked like you were having trouble
Robo, did your new OS come yet? Let us know if it helps your performance at all.
And Pointy, were those pics taken awhile ago? I thought you had dual video cards.
What are those tisuess doing next to your pc mate? 8O
Nice Rig tho
Robo's wiring looks like mine!
thanks evil, i was having a bit of trouble uploading pics. the tissues are for wiping cat fur off the front of my computors fans...mostly lol
Poinguard, Verrator note the suffisticated extra wires i added for improved wind turbulance, worth the extra dollars and my pc only runs around 80 degrees celcious at idle
I thinking about taking it EVEN farther and stuffing a big fucking fire hose in there from koolance
Yeah, right.
sry i writing there
u can tell me how i can do full signature ?
this is my whats is wrong ??
Here is my desk, finally cleaned up a bit. My server is the top one (ITX) and my desktop is below the desk. 700 watt Samsung surround sound system. Samsung widescreen LCD, etc.
Here is the water tube routing inside Blackwater (my gaming desktop). Notice how the PSU covers the CPU? That was the only option I had if I wanted tou mount the triple radiator in the top of the case. I really don't like external radiators.
Here is Pink-chan, the mild gaming rig I built for my girlfriend. I'd say it has good wire management.
Tryton, you might wanna move your question in the ''signature topic''.
Thanks for redirecting Tryton, Mike.
Here's my dinky new video card :(:
Beta, is your 9800 GT as lame as mine? Don't you feel that the frame rate is really sub-par considering the 1GB of video memory? If it's not too much trouble, would you mind posting your core, shader, and mem clock speeds? I know I won't be able to go as high as you b/c I'm only using stock cooling, but I guess I'm just curious.
Stock clocks:
gpu 600 / mem 900 / shader 1500
daily overclock:
gpu 700 / mem 900 / shader 1748 or 1500
I don't remember the clocks I use to benchmark. They are a bit higher than the daily overclock. However, my 3DMark06 score is higher than 1400. You should run 3DMark06 and post your scores. I noticed your 9800 GT doesn't have a PCI-E power connector. I don't have real data to back it up, but I'd rather buy one with a PCI-E connector on it. That way it won't draw power from the motherboard, and I know it's always getting the right amount of power. btw good work on managing those wires.
As for your question about the sub-par performance. I did feel that way up until I replaced the processor with a Phenom II. From then on out the performance has been more than I expected from the video card. However, I have a 512mb card. My resolution is 1680x1050 and it performs exceptionally well unless I enable AA. I can play FarCry 2 on Ultra High without AA, and max out just about any older game like Oblivion, Unreal Tourny 3, rise of the argonauts, quake 4, ET quake wars, etc.
Thanks for the info Beta, I appreciate it. Yeah, my card also uses a single 6-pin power connector, but I took this picture just after inserting the card, so it must be hiding unplugged behind that big blue Gigabyte wire.
I'll download 3dmark now and get those numbers for you.
Updated rig:
Added a second card....and yes i know they look different but they are the same GPU, just different heat sinks.
Without flash
With flash
