Spawn Protection Time Increase?

    How much would you like to see spawn protection changed? 0

    1. fine like it is (0) 0%
    2. Just a minimal amount longer (+1sec) (0) 0%
    3. more time would be better (+2sec) (0) 0%

    This came up in another thread so I am moving it here.

    Even a slight increase in spawn protection (+2 secs?) could solve a lot of headaches.

    -time to drop default weapons you dont like
    -time to fix bad autobuy glitches and loadouts
    -time to properly frag the last bunker takers who don't give a crap

    to list a few.

    What do folks think about this?

    We could play test it and see if it's a simpler solution to deal with a host of complaints/ideas.

    I agree that increasing spawn protection time would decrease bunker rape, but spawning with extra protection time is something that you can get used to very quickly. If I start taking it for granted, I fear that I may begin to rely on it, which I won't be able to do in other servers. This is sort of similar to increasing running speed, in that, once you get used to it, you suck more once it is taken away. If we could get Crytek to increase spawn protection time, I'd vote to increase it, but since that's not going to happen, I will vote to keep our servers vanilla so we can continue to compete elsewhere without relying on mods.

    Just guessing here though, how many frequent OSF-member players spend that much time on other servers?
    Guests may like or not like it but that's already the case with our rules.

    Either way I will wrap up the poll tomorrow and post the results for consideration.
