I kinda lost interest in playing on a regular basis quite a few weeks ago now, I just hope they can make the standalone a success.
It was nice to talk to you Sharpie and do not be a stranger.

. Thanks for the consideration guys and I look forward to chatting to you all on TS soon ( may be create a quarentine room - untill I prove im not infected )
Our server is very public, anyone is welcome to join and we've had a few dayz players playing on our server join TS none have expressed an interest in joining the group or I think even registered on this site yet they are still welcome as long as they behave. A player called Passey was dropping by with a friend both from the UK if I remember right not sure if they still use our TS though if gives you opportunities to team up with other players on the server even if they are not in OSF directly. But for reasons Evil has mentioned we have a members only channel.

Hey Sharpie, I,ve seen you in the server and would be happy to team up with you sometime, I'm away for a couple of weeks still so when I'm back I hope to see you in dayz.
-
I look forward to watching it when I get back, I miss most players like xF P4FKO and xF Twice once these guys left and of course fewer OSF active the game was just never the same, we just ended up with the likes of Sidous and PhenoShite. Wonder what happened between Pheno and Sid and if they ever had that 1 v 1? Something tells me he would of lost anyway.

I don't mean to be a debbie downer, but when you factor in the +$200 case, how can you not justify the extra few bucks on a 680 for a gaming machine...or maybe even two?
Nice setup 8O
My wife has 2 680's eraser although we recently realised one is not working since a clean install got to be a driver issue I guess, although even one is killer. I,d go 680 all the way in that rig its not like your skimping on anything else.

Enjoy the case it's a real beauty,

Video is not available here, make sure you guys keep me posted on dayz developments as I,ll be keeping an eye on the forums during my break.
On another note keep an eye out for the NWA boys, I was looking for them on the OSF server the other day 6 of them, went to the north west airfield as I was scouting to the south I found a guy by a bush and killed him it was an NWA guy..... Then it dawned on me North West Airfield NWA whizz crack I got ambushed and just survived.

While I agree 10000000% with the suggestion of an IPS panel there are a couple of things to watch out for.
1. e-IPS is an IPS panel, but it's the low low low end of IPS panels, that being said it is better than a TN panel.2. keep an eye on response time. I game on an S-PVA panel with 6ms response time. The difference is unnoticeable between my 2ms TN-panel, the trade-off between picture quality and response time is worth it 10 times over.
3. Backlight bleeding is not a problem with IPS or PVA panels normally, lower quality TN panels almost 100% of the time have this issue.
4. This is probably one of the best displays for consumers (yes, it's apple, but bear with me) Apple Cinema Display Specs it has a 12 ms response time, the absolute max I would game on. Also note that it uses Intel's Thunderbolt technology for image, you can use DisplayPort (like I do on my HP LP2275w) and loose some functionality that isn't noticeable for gamers.
5. Contrast ratio is generally a garbage spec on TN panels, the contrast ratio is usually measured correctly but using 100% contrast on TN-panels often lessens color distinction and increases backlight bleed visibility.
Intresting we will be looking into upgrading these but not for a few months yet,
6. Color display: TN panels can display 262,000 colors natively, and up to 16.7 million colors using dithering, which produces inaccurate colors
Here's a couple of recommendations (and no the Apple display isn't one). Good IPS and PVA panels can natively display 16.7 million colors and high-end H-IPS, and P-IPS displays can natively display over 1 billion colors AH-IPS (not in production) supports just as many but is extremely high pixel density.1. a dell Dell UltraSharp 24" or if you like colors you can get this one, it also has 2ms quicker response time Dell UltraSharp 27" (supports 1.07 billion colors (10bit H-IPS) instead of the 24" 16.7 million colors (8bit S-IPS))
2. an Asus P-IPS 24" monitor this is a newer panel type (P stands for professional). Personally I would chose this one, It also have 10bit color as apposed to the S-IPS of 8bit color.
Read more on the comparison of panel types here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TFT_LCD
Also, if you do end up getting a very high end IPS panel like the Asus or Dell 27" they should come factory calibrated or come with a calibration tool, but if it doesn't you should look into these.

are they really saying "dax" or is it "dachs"?
Dax: It is the german Dow Jones. It rise/climbs or falls (??)
Dachs: Would be the badger or sometimes whippersnapper
Ah ha ha ha, guess its dachs.
And evil it's silver fox because I have grey hair, I'm almost completely grey now like George clooney but younger only 23.
