Is every game compatible? I'd imagine you'd need that triple-head to go thingy to use that curved screen.

Amazing monitor.
I don't suppose we could have a pic of today's newspaper with the date visible beside your new setup

I'd like to do that to San Fransicko

Arson was the biggest dick by far and I would not expect you to give him a guest pass.

I've only played Shattered Horizon for one day so far (thanks to Tioga's guest pass
) but so far I can say that SH is fun and totally unique.
The no-grav thrusters allow you to roll, which makes for a battle zone unlike any other. The battle isn't just around you like it is in a regular FPS, it's above and below you as well. In order to sneak up to someone and rip their spacesuit open with your bayonet, you don't have to come from only behind - it's equally as awesome to float down on the enemy from over their head. The physics are quite good, and the "silent-running" mode is just that - it shuts off your suit's lights and keeps you off enemy radar. Not only that, but it disables the suit's "simulated sound", which truly makes you feel like you're playing as a real astronaut - albeit some type of bad ass astronaut with an assault rifle and an handful of cool grenades. The maps and their environment are fairly stunning. Game play is smooth and enjoyable even on my lower-end machine running low graphics.
Unfortunately, the game does seem a bit dull at times, as there are no customizable options in terms of kits/classes, weapons, and weapon attachments. Also, there is a moderate learning curve. You cannot jump into it like you could with Counter-Strike. For the first hour, I found myself constantly disoriented and totally confused as to where lead is flying at me from (Ok, that's still a problem). Overall, it is easier to pick up than Crysis in my opinion. For $20 you can't really go wrong, even if you do eventually grow bored of the same gun after only a few months.
Oh, and did I mention that I haven't come across any bugs and that the lag is minimal in terms of in-game warping regardless of ping?
Tioga, if you find yourself with a spare pass, please consider giving it out to someone here who shows some interest in SH (as there were several in TS last night who were contemplating buying it).

I like where this is going
In my honest opinion, the AC Cobra is more beautiful.

Yes, I am afraid of the dark. At least I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I think we'd see lots of fighting in the hangar if one team held E3/4 and the other team held D3. In the few battles we've had in this map, this was simply never the case.
Ordinarily when this happens, there's action in two places: where the "trenches" currently are and on top of where the war factory should be.
Seems to me like the only way of making the hangar "capturable" would be to put a bunker in side of it. I'm not sure how this would be implemented nicely. That's a job for V's brilliant mind.
Oh and how about "Mesa-Reloaded"?
-
I think V's adding a heli by the Chinese restaurant that respawns every few minutes, which I'm a proponent of.
I also think a war factory is a good idea and I believe this idea is being played with as I write this.

My vote is between Mesa-Redux and Old School Mesa.
Haven't decided yet

As pathetic as I know this will sound, I'm somewhat afraid of getting motion sickness from Shattered Horizon, as I don't take too well to leaning/rolling.
Hell, I feel sick by simply spawning in Verrater's slanted D3 bunker
-
Tioga's sending me a Shattered Horizon guest pass next week
Looking forward to it after all the good reviews I've been getting from other players.
-
Rip, I quite like "Old School Mesa", but I was trying to think of a name that started with Mesa in it so that if a player was to categorize the server list, he'd see V's modified Mesa in the same category as all the other regular Mesa's....maybe that's totally unnecessary though.
And Snow, if I may speak for V, the C7 area is not meant as a place for any action to take place, but rather as a spot where we can spawn things easily for practicing stuff.
Anyways, I definitely think Old School Mesa should be on the list of potential names (even though this is technically new school mesa)

The cover is fine in my opinion, and there's always room for more.
The idea behind closing off the tunnel to D4 is to keep the fight in proto; and it worked very well after today's 1st-ever real battle.
Very fun. Infantry-friendly, as expected. I'd definitely vote to add it as the main map after today's initial testing.
-
If "toga sucks dick" is an option, I'm so voting for that.
Seriously, Mesa should definitely be in the name. Possibly OSF as well. Or, we can include something about the infantry-friendly proto fighting area
