Doesn't everyone in this forum and everyone playing Crysis intend to use and upgrade their desktops for a long time to come? I don't have an issue with space, and I don't care for mobility so why would I want a portable pc? Just look at Holy, he just recently went from a laptop to a desktop for the first time. The pc gaming community isn't going anywhere for the time being...unless DMC keeps tempting me with torrents.

Not doing anything for me.
In fact, as I listen to it more, that's actually pretty shitty.

Have you looked into expanding desk space?

Hey put it this way, in terms of PC gaming- if we compare what Crysis 2 will be to what CoD6 is, then it should be a phenomenal game.
-
Saw some youtube vid of a developer showing off the graphics in Cry2. Looked identical to regular Crysis - which is not good considering how much time has elapsed since Crysis 1 was introduced.
Is it a worthy sequel? Who knows. I'll let you know what I think after it comes out, as I plan on buying it
Good news is that we won't need to buy new rigs for Crysis 2. For regular Crysis I needed new everything, including DDR2 and a dual core processor on top of the new mobo and gpu - turns out that this shit is still good enough for Crysis 2

in regedit, it might look something like
HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Electronic Arts->Crysis Wars->Settings->Key
or something like that

I'd agree.
Servers with more players in them tend to lag more than servers with less players in them. This is common sense.
Do not spam the site again.

Wow, did it have sound?

Happy Birthday max. Still looking forward to seeing you in-game / saying hello in TS.
Oh and about the lagging - It's Crysis. It lags....it's always laggy. We all complain about it, but no one complained as much as a former member whose name I will not mention.
And tioga, if you can buy the one magic server in Crysis that does not lag when it's populated, then please do. Until then, do not continue running your mouth off.

Cheap bastard. Buy your cousin the damn game, it's cheap.
No, I'm just kidding. Check your personal messages.

Lets do age predictions.

Who are you fooling? We know you wear pull-ups.

Thor is right. Although someone may be a "focking asshole", that does not mean you can kick them

While there is no shortage of admins, I think it's good to be able to kick cheaters out of the server in an attempt to keep the game fair and enjoyable for everyone. At the same time, I feel it's important to stress how admins can make or break not only the server's popularity, but OSF's image.
No admins or overly lenient admins will lead to a lack of balance and fairness while abusive admins leads to an environment that is simply no fun for anyone. There's a healthy balance somewhere in between.
Ryan, you play very often, so I feel you know the routine when it comes to using admin powers, i.e. warning players before punishing or kicking them, not kicking players for hacking unless you are 110% sure that they are in fact hacking, not switching a player to the other team so that your friend can be on your side.
At times, being an admin is as much of a burden as it is a privilege. You cannot forget that players will ask you to kick someone because they broke some rule or stole some vehicle or are using cheats. Obviously, you cannot trust that the player is not simply trying to get someone kicked because they don't like the other player. There's no right answer for knowing what to do and how to handle these situations. I'm not trying to scare you out of wanting to be an admin, but rather help you understand that being an admin is both a role you should take responsibly, and at the same time understand that you can't look up every scenario in a manual to know what do when something happens.
I have final exams going on now so I'll hook you up with two-week admin rights starting at the end of this week. If there are no complaints over that period of time, as I don't expect there will be, the admin powers will be extended for an indefinite period of time. Alternatively, if you're really nice to Ripley or Tanktop, maybe they can get you started earlier than the end of this week.
We're not making any sticky notes to remind ourselves to get around to adding you as an admin, so don't feel bad for reminding us this Friday

thanks for the story, Cad
