damn you ward! Skip the exams

Ok so you guys are telling me I only need to press 4 buttons to toggle the laser with a fancy keyboard? You're kidding, right? Let me know when it's possible to do this in one key, and I'll buy it.

I think it'd be great for you to take part in a practice session with us if you can refrain from acting like an imper and strafe jumping is something most new players don't know about. It'd be more than impressive if you could find a way to teach that effectively.

Yes, visually, aim_depot is a great map. We'll have to see how it plays in a real game. I'm looking forward to doing this eventually.

Escudero is Tioga now? When did this happen?
Escudero, if this is a new trick to get into OSF, it is not working at all.

Hey Robin (or whatever your name is), sorry I haven't been around to say "hi" yet - I'm trying to see if it is possible to not blow 100% of Christmas break on Crysis.
Anyways, if you plan to be with us for a long time, then a few weeks of hanging out with us during your "evaluation" in TS / in the game server shouldn't be too much of a nightmare compared to being with us as a fellow OSF member

Having never used a so-called "gaming keyboard", I cannot begin to understand the necessity for one. So what exactly is the deal with them? They glow? They show your cpu usage and gpu temps while playing? Is it worth $100 to "see how much prestige you have when you are dead"?
I suppose it would be great to use it for quickly typing admin commands, but I try not to use them very much anyways.
My cousin uses one and I can say that it has a very nice clock on it. Too bad that's all he seems to use it for.
I would be sold on a gaming keyboard if it were possible to use it to do things like take off/put on a laser in Crysis, but from what I am told, this is not possible using any gaming keyboard.
So is it true? For $100, it isn't possible to somehow setup a quick laser on/off key?

Yep, you've doubled my best score...so don't worry about having wasted any money on your investment...you're in the clear, as it seems to have paid off.

I've installed aim_depot and it seems to have worked for me. If you'd like, you can try connecting to our practice server to confirm that aim_depot downloads for you automatically.
If Saturdays are good for everyone, we can start doing weekly practice sessions once again (especially now that there are some new players). If Saturdays are no good, then feel free to ask me or any other of the appropriate admins to load up aim_depot for you anytime on the practice server.
Hope this helps

The benchmark I am downloading is 421 MB. The file is stkcop-bench-setup.exe, I hope that's the right one.
EDIT: Ok, I've scored 7800 on the "Advanced DX9" test. This was using the machine that has a core2 duo E6750 and a 9600GT.
Also, I do not care for this benchmark as it takes far too long to run. I prefer the quick benchmarks that do everything in only a minute or two.

Yeah, why don't you give it a try and let us know how it goes. We'll assume you made it to jail if we don't hear back

Ok lets do an IA aimmap some time.
I promise I'll work on setting up auto downloader for a version of aimmap so that we can quickly and easily hop into the practice server for some close combat strafing and aim training.
Just 20 minutes of fast-action keyboard pounding every once in awhile should help, I think.
And when we're in the regular server, just try to stay in the proto area if you need some close combat practice - taking those two bunkers over and defending proto is great practice.

Sounds like the infamous "PB Communication Error".
Also, I don't know anything about ESL except for the fact that it's most certainly not "uncheatable" and following your link obviously proves nothing as well.
And tioga, if you don't have anything to say on this topic, chat with PaiN via some form of communication besides this forum.
