When I run the benchmark in 64 bit, the mem=1000MB and above, but when I run the benchmark in 32 bit mode maximum memory usage peaks at around 800MB. idk what this means but I would think it's better to use less memory. Either way, in terms of frames per second there's no difference that I can see
(so you don't have to cry your heart out about PB not being 64bit compatible). -
Here ya go Chach
Tested 64 vs 32...I see no difference in performance
maybe it's more stable like you said but idk about that
and of course a huge difference in DX9 vs DX10

HAHAHA I will make a Crysis frag video featuring ALL of these songs lol
And yeah Ginia nice video...I would have to vote for you as OSF's most improved Crysis player

One tweak that seems to have shown a huge impact on performance is running the game in DX9 mode. For the test, I ran the fraps benchmark for 60 seconds walking in a straight line through the map Atacama desert. Results were similar for the AMD video card benchmark, except even less of a difference was seen between DX10 and DX11.

Definitely wait until the 18th when the new amd cards come out. Even if you don't like any of them, they should add pricing competition to the market.
Also, as far as gaming goes, the i5-760 offers the best bang for your buck. Anything beyond that is hard to justify for gaming use. If you refuse to buy intel, then go for one of amd's phenom II X4's. They've come down a lot in price and are as good if not better than amd's hexacore offerings.

we'll all sleep much better knowing evil is the king of the hill.

I agree about lowering the nuke price to accommodate for the 90 minute rounds. I also agree about the server population being too low for larger PS maps, but that would make Shore a better candidate than the larger Mesa.
Since Arborist was the only European in attendance today, I think we'll have to go for a later game next time. Arborist, this shouldn't be a problem for you or Ginia, since you two are always up until the very early hours of the morning anyways, right?

btw, since I won, I get the prize from chachi

460's are of gf104 architecture, not the gf101 fermi easy-bake oven architecture

You're mobo doesn't support SLI?
-
5770's offer good bang for your buck, but I think 460's scale the best in SLI
-
I think players liked our server because we didn't have too many mods.
-
Lets start by getting together on Saturdays.
Let me know what times you guys will be on so MistaD and I can join the OSF server
For sure. To make it easy, shall we meet at our old practice time? Was it 3 central? So that's 8 GMT.
How does a PS 1 hour rotation sound? No rules - nuking allowed.
-
sure....the reason for non-mesa maps was to get players into the server again, as it has been 0 players 24/7 under mesa. the map rotation hasn't worked, which leads me to believe there is a bigger picture that may needed to be looked into...more on that later

I will admit i am a UG & NH server player because they are always popular servers we can make ours the same when we copied asimov that time we got popular again so all we need to do is think of a good name as to get gamers playing on our server we need a good first impression! No CD works well!
I also think Scrims should come back into action but open to all whiles were playing so its not really a scrim but more of a meet up between friends, or a public scrim!
Do you not see it as a problem that we can only recruit players by lying about who we are?

yea wtf visk, where've you been

there should be a rule against osf members being allowed to be married
