SCANNER and I fought with problems with our joysticks and throttle controls moving our soldier on the ground and shooting weapons on their own...I will never understand why the game comes with joystick bindings defined for "on foot" controls. Clearing all those out helped a lot, but is there a way to bind my joystick's hat switch to look around the cockpit? The only way I can figure this out is to bind "free look" to a key and then "look up/left/right/down" to the hat switch...but this involves pressing 2 buttons and also you cannot control the aircraft while looking around!

SCANNER shared some pretty cool videos of him shooting as door gunner on the HH-60 Pave Hawk. It's interesting to note that there are no sights whatsoever. The gunner adjusts his aim based off of bullet impacts.

He also told me you don't have to unlock the flares at level 10...his helicopter came with them lol.

p.s. my mission is to get SCANNER hooked on BF3 like he is on Crysis...feel free to help me threaten him into liking BF3.

It looks like DICE brought back the famous in-game console we all have missed since we played Battlefield 2. It was revealed that Battlefield 3 will indeed feature a full in-game console with some useful commands that help you analzye the game, like a performance graph that shows you your current framerate as well as CPU and GPU usage.

Wow...I feel special for some reason lol. Honestly, I was only in the heli for all of 2 minutes, but I can tell you it's probably going to get tuned down a bit because it felt overpowered if a noob like me was able to annihilate everything around me.

I think Ripley will be happy to know that the claymore is in fact unlockable in the beta. The clay limit is 2 and I can only hold one at a time (takes about 10 seconds to resupply yourself with another one).
