Teabag says that the server on which our server runs would cost a regular person 60 british pounds per month, so over the last nine months we've accumulated enough in donations to rent a server for about one and a half months
. However, our DayZ server and other OSF related services are not the only thing the server is used for and out of the goodness of Teabag's heart, he will accept what little amount we are able to offer. Seeing as how donations have never been required and rarely asked for since OSF started, I think the generosity of our members and supporters is actually very high. If you take into consideration the demography of the group, our donations total is especially impressive considering how many of us are students, unemployed, or both.
Any payments made from the OSF PayPal account will always be announced beforehand, as it is with your permission that the donation balance be used. Our first withdrawal will be to Teabag for his gracious server hosting support.
-
Oh I forgot you're not in OSF lol.
Yes

Since donations have stopped going to Tanktop and begun going to the new OSF PayPal account created in March, we've accumulated $152.46 USD. The only payment we've had to make since transferring off of Tanktop's hosting is for the oldschoolfighters.com domain name but I paid for that myself so no withdrawals have been made from the new account yet. We're lucky we have Teabag because DayZ server hosting is very expensive and I've made sure to let him know to let us know how much help he needs to cover server hosting costs. Hopefully Teabag can tell us about how much it is costing per month for his services and then we will know if our donations are enough.

UK people must vote to set the server in GMT+1 as FR people !!
http://oldschoolfighters.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=680Votes won't count just yet, but an official poll will be up soon. Also, I'll add a message to the dayz server directing players to register and vote if they'd like.

maybe this can point you in the right direction? 2nd post has some info on looking for scripts and logs

I made a poll that guests are allowed to vote in, but I think poll results can be exploited by guest accounts, so I think we should instead try to get the website fixed so people can register properly.

In the meantime, feel free to leave a post there if you would like to see different options to pick from in the poll.

just a test poll for now

I'm in favor of changing the time to whatever is most desired by the majority of those who play on our server, but I'm not sure if Mika32's opinion represents that of the majority or if I'd be changing the time we established as a group based upon anecdotal evidence. I feel as though there is a risk we may upset the server's player base who have gotten used to the time the way it is.
I would suggest that we add a server message saying to make a forum account to vote for new server time, but that won't work if people are getting errors making an account, so I guess we need icomrade to take a look at that first before we do anything just yet.
