OO nice I can still remember the day I was talking to DMC about a new clan name when I suggested OSS - Old School Stoners (you should know why, if you know dmc well enough  ). I don't know if that affected the official name idea but still I remember that day as clear as day because of that bit of xfire chat. It's really satisfying to see that you guys have come such a long way and kept it as the best casual clan I've ever known, where everyone's opinion counts and everyone is friendly towards each other. Great work! 8)

So, as suggested by ripley, here's a poll to see everyone's opinion about the SR. I copied the reason for this poll from another topic I made, so here it is:
Hello there guys, I'm not sure anyone's complained about it but I'll post it anyway...I think the player limit for the sniper rifle should be lowered a bit, maybe to 10 or 8 players instead of 12. The main reason for that is the bunker raping. Many times I've joined the game, spawned at D3 and the bunker was being watched by enemies on hills and rooftops with scars and sniper scopes, and as they get a clear view of the bunker, an easy and quick solution is necessary to get them so the sniper rifle would be the perfect weapon for such situations.

Usually I kill one or nobody and end up dead anyway, even if I watch the sniper's position. Many players leave because of bunker raping as well and while I understand we can spawn somewhere else, I find it unnecessary specially if there is a proper gun for the job and we have nowhere else to spawn, other than the base. I don't think people would abuse it in a match with few players, as they're probably not going to see anyone for a while and get bored. Usually when there's a bunker problem the game is either 4vs5 or 5vs5, which means that because of 2 players we can't get the weapon. It's just a suggestion anyway, I think most, if not all rules are quite fair and still keep it as one of the best places to play.

I understand that some of you guys might get annoyed by snipers shooting you from some random hill when you're trying to play your game in peace but I believe getting raped by scar snipers is far worse. Snipers can be easily taken out by anyone with a sniper rifle, usually in less than 2 seconds after he shot you so I guess it shouldn't be much of a problem for those who can handle a sniper rifle properly, as the regular snipers we see nearly always have bad aim and give us plenty of time to aim at their head. If it's necessary, I can give tips and training to anyone interested (even though there's not much to it really). Also on a side note, this is mostly a problem when playing at night, when usually there's 11 players or less, sometimes with unbalanced teams.

    Thanks for your time

    Response:

Bah you all probably know me so I'm not sure I need to introduce myself again :P

I posted an application months ago but it didn't work well because those were my last few weeks in england but I said I'd come back one day...well I did come back but give up twice when trying to play the game. Now I'm back into it (just for fun this time) and as I play only on 2 servers (a brazilian one because of the low ping and the OSF one) I thought it could be fun to try and get back into my first clan ever (as long as you accept me).

I don't play that well anymore and I don't know some of you that well but this clan still feels quite familiar and friendly to me, so I believe I'd enjoy being part of it and representing it in game, officially that is. I understand that I'm known for not having a mouth (poobar lol) but now I have my own room and peace when I want to play (except when it's late at night) so yes, I'd install my microphone and ts if necessary. Well, I'll keep playing with you guys regardless of being in the clan or not and if any of you ever needs help or advice, you can count on me.

    Thanks for reading

I usually have to get rid of the pistol and sometimes even of the scar when I feel like using the FY so I don't know...I think everyone should have a laser pointer and maybe an smg to defend the bunker quickly when you spawn with enemies surrounding you. The shotgun isn't an easy weapon to use but I get your point there, everyone is just using the scar and I (not just me) can barely touch people in a smg vs scar fight with 190 ping (I'm avoiding speed mode where I get high ping so people don't have problems with my lag). The only things I really don't like having at the start are claymores, mines and C4.

Good luck with NH...If you think OSF are unfriendly, you will discover a new level of stupidity over there and I'm sure you'll love it
That was not fair play by your part specter, assuming people don't like the way you play and running straight to another clan's forum asking for a place...I wonder if you're really 20 years old.

And everyone should always remember: You can't hide from ripley, not even with osama bin laden's help 8O

i only want to play not every hour at every day only with this fucking scar, I will play sometimes with sniperguns or tanks too but some members dont respect that they only want to see me play with scar

I know I have no say in this but sometimes people do like sniping...personally I don't like those who snipe always from the same spot or spam tanks but I think that if you keep a good balance between sniping and playing normally it should all be fine. This is a game and you're in it to have fun, so you should play anyway you want as long as it's not ruining other people's fun.

I'm not really in position to give you advice specter, but I remember playing against you and you were always a sniper (a good one btw), sometimes I would just get mad and even though I don't remember I probably insulted you once or twice...well sorry about that, but it's good to see you're actually looking for advice :)

I would say you just need to practice your aim and movement, but if you're not very good at it, then all you need is decent aim and patience so you can outsmart people. For that you need to know the map well and also take a good look at everyone, including your own team mates, watch their moves, see what most people do, match their behaviour with their scores so you will know in the future how a player with a determined score will act. Players with higher scores and very good k/d ratio are either in vehicles or have very good aim, so you should avoid them, while players with bad scores will most likely behave the same way (they rush you with bad aim, bad movement and not using the guns properly usually because of lack of experience), others with even k/d but a good number of kills usually expose themselves and will rush you if they have the chance, but their aim and strategy aren't that effective. After that you can start shooting where they will be in a few seconds, throw grenades where they will take cover, rush from places where people usually don't look at and so on...snipers can be taken out easily with a sniper rifle + scope or scar with any sort of sights in 1-2 seconds after you see their position.

There's not much else I can say, once you know how most players behave in the game you will notice that very few of them are unpredictable, and that gives you an advantage when you're attacking a specific objective.

    Keep practicing 8)
