    PB does not seem to like something in your music.pak; meaning you've either edited it or it has become currupted somehow. If you do not have a backup of this file, you will need to reinstall the game.

    That's really odd that PB would ding me for a non-essential piece of data. I deleted the music.pak because I don't play the music during online play, it's just one more thing to suck up system resources and hog hard drive space, and deleting it actually gave me a little fps boost. Maybe it wasn't a stellar boost, but every little bit helps.

    Ok, I'll just snag it from the DVD, put it back where it needs to be, and then see if I have issues with connecting and staying in the game for any length of time.

    As far as support goes, I saw your post NE responding to PB Ban site info about EB discontinuing support for Crysis and Crysis Wars. Yeah, it doesn't make a lot ot sense to not provide the most recent client updates "if" there's a problem with the program udating automatically. The response I got from EB today was just as stupid:

    [hr]
    11/08/2010 04:03:57 - "Hendrik T"
    Note #4: Unfortunately PunkBuster support has ended recently for Crysis and Crysis Wars.

    Wow EB, thanks for the detailed brush off "duh!"response. Anyway NE, thanks for looking up that info. I'll fix the issue and try connecting later on this week.

    Last night, 11/6/10, I joined the !=OSF= Power Struggle! 208.167.246.202:64100 server, but with limited success. Initially, I was getting kicked right away, which I attributed to a PB issue. So, tried to manually update my PB data with PBSetup v3.4, but for whatever reason, Crysis and Crysis Wars were not in the Game selection drop down box. Since I couldn't update PB that way, I tried the delete pb folder method in order to see if I could force an update:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Dirk\My Documents\My Games\Crysis Wars\pb

    That method seemed to work for awhile, but (x) number of minutes into the game, I was kicked again. So, I uninstalled PB and reinstalled it using PB Service Setup v0,986 that comes on the DVD, allowed it to test itself, and it said all tests had passed. Later, I was able to get into the game again, was able to play for about 10 minutes, and was kicked again. So, I went online to see if there was anything from Even Balance to update PB or any new info I didn't already know about PB acting snotty. I did see there is a PB Service Setup v0.987 from EB, which I dld and tried, but it didn't fix the kick issue either. Also, the Windows firewall is allowing PB services A and B access.

    Today, I sent Even Balance an email asking about the omission of Crysis and Crysis Wars client/server update info and the problem I've been having with not being able to update PB with the manual update program:

    [hr]

    Where are the Latest PB Client Versions for Crysis and Crysis Wars?

    http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php

    Generally, I use PBSetup v3.4 to manually update Crysis and Crysis Wars MP PB files. Although, neither Crysis nor Crysis Wars are showing up in the PBSetup game list for me to choose them for PB data updates. So, I'm guessing the lack of updated PB files are the reason I'm getting kicked from a server I've recently decided to join that uses PB.

    Even if you're not working on Crysis and Crysis Wars related PB updates, shouldn't you at least make the most recent updates available so people don't have problems with getting kicked from servers that use PB?

    Also, I was under the impression that there is a 64-bit client version of PB that would work with Windows XP Pro x64. Can you confirm this info is true and if so point me in the direction to get it?

    Thanks for your help.

    The server that I've been getting kicked from lately, either right away or several minutes into the game, is:

    !=OSF= Power Struggle!
    208.167.246.202:64100

    Normally, I access it through GameSpy's Comrade program.

    I don't use any hacks or cheats. I do have an autoexec.cfg file that contains this info in case I encounter a sound bug and need to get rid of it in-game:

    con_restricted = 0
    bind np_2 s_soundenable 0
    bind np_3 s_soundenable 1

    Also, since I don't have an x64 version of PB; Even Balance gave the impression it exists starting with client v1.70;, I have to use the x32 version of the game, and I use D3D Overrider that comes with Rivatuner to enable triple buffering, which helps increase my fps. Thinking D3D Overrider might be causing the issue, I shut it down and tried to re-enter the server. Apparently that program wasn't the issue because I was soon kicked again.

    Anyone have any ideas of what to try to keep from getting kicked if I haven't been banned for some reason?

    Thanks for your help.
