thx for joining today guys! :)

I noticed that when a team has one more player the proto-energy-level objective might be a bit unfair. Or we could go for a smaller map... I´ll think about it

This week I had some interesting chats with the [TK] clan guys especially BigNig[TK].
I will not go into details anymore just give you some advice: when players start to offend you and keep on insulting just be quiet and ask them "plese stop insulting and play". Ask them like 3 times and if they do not stop kick them. It´s hard for me, too but the only way. Do not fall in the trap and reply with "bitch". "noob" or whatever

I completely understand that step, you will not be tempted to play by uninstalling the game.
As much I do not like to loose a very good gamer I see that as a very mature decision and I respect it as a turn towards the things that really matter in life (besides women haha)! :)

So this is not a farewell I hope, you will just be inactive as a player and you are of course invited to roam the forums any time you like!

Looking forward to hear from you at any time!

    Hey OSF´s

what do you guys think about doing OSF internal scrims from time to time?
We used to do that back in CoP when I was a young member

Since I do not have to do regular trainings anymore (or only on special requests) this could be some funny alternative.
When we were playing on the Schlumpfhausen server I noticed a lack of teamplay so I thought about asking you.

    Scrim rules (my suggestion):
    - only infantry! I want to have it "quiet" in terms of no helis and vtols and tanks
    - no clays when its only 3vs3 or less
    - mines are allowed
    - forget about kdr. Thats important b/c you are less tempted to camp proto and dig yourself behind a shitload of clays
    - scrim duration no longer than about an hour
    - balanced team skill
    - seperate teamspeak channels
    - scrim objective: obtain the most proto energy level?

The "balanced skill" rule may vary since you learn when playing against better players but its more frustating.

I am not sure about the server. Maybe we could use ams and then STL so the ping advantage/disadvantage is even

Scrim time: That used to be an issue in CoP. I suggest Saturday or Sunday evening Europe time which means early afternoon US time.

Thx for your input on that

I can see that this system is totally flawed the way it is now. In terms of a vote's value, I have considered making those with more posts count more than those with fewer, but that would not be fair, either.

I understand your intention but as you said it would be impossible to be fair on this one. We have "big gun" members like SCANNER or ThorSnaer who either are currently busy managing the important stuff or just do not have the time to update themselves on the forums (when I join after one day there are like 90 new posts). What I am saying is that any vote has to weigh the same.

Let´s just keep it simple and decide for a necessary majority of "yes" votes or for 10-more-yes-than-no-votes system independant of the =nOSF= trial time.

It is not our objective to make OSF a huge clan. Clans where any jerk can join are enough out there. So we rather would like to keep it small but with members who fit into the group. Meaning they should be decent, likeable and relaxed players who like to hang out with us during a video game.

That is why the number of yes and no votes is important to us. Explicit "nos" have to be taken into account in some way like DMC said. If we count only "yes" imagine there are 10 yes votes and 20 nos?

So I like the majority idea.

In addition, we already decided to implement the trial membership.
